Duties: Develop interprocess communication systems in a near-real-time environment. Build the future of Motional’s on-vehicle communications framework and software execution environment. Contribute to designs and work together with specialized autonomy teams to determine the needs of the system and how to best meet those needs with a robust infrastructure. Work with the team to drive implementation of these designs and incorporate feedback from the teams leveraging your designs. Develop performant and well tested C++ software. May telecommute to Boston, MA from any U.S. location. Requirements: Master’s degree in robotics, computer science, or a closely related engineering field plus 2 years of industry experience in the following areas: Data Distribution Service (DDS) or similar peer-to-peer networking protocol, message serialization and deserialization technologies, debugging network issues throughout the entire network stack, networking and performance tools like wireshark, iperf, perf, and Intel VTune, including complex network software development. The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience. Salary range: One Hundred Thirty-One Thousand to One Hundred Eight-Four Thousand per year.
