The Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center is a 4-Star Full Service 451-room Hotel with 30,000 square feet of conference space, and we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer. We are conveniently located within the Hampden South neighborhood @ I-25 and 225 in the tech center.

The Engineering department is responsible for assisting with the oversight of the operation of the hotel, consisting of 451 rooms and 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. This individual must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting space, and front-of-the-house areas, as well as back-of-house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, using a windows-based computer system. The ability to read blueprints and schematics is also required. A minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience is required, with hotel experience preferred. Strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required for this position. Good communication skills are necessary. Additionally, this position requires strong leadership skills, and a willingness to work different shifts as the demands of business dictates.

- Minimum 2 years of building maintenance experience
- Experience with drywall repairs, texture, and finishing
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life-safety systems
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Proficiency using a Windows-based computer system
- Ability to prepare and mix paint, match colors, and apply finishes
- Ability to install and repair wall and ceiling coverings and hang vinyl wall coverings
- Capable of caulking, grouting, plastering, tile setting, and basic masonry/cement work
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and work at heights over 15 feet
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, differentiate colors, and work in various weather climates
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as business dictates
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Previous hotel/service industry experience
