Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze technical specifications and customer requirements to define optimal elevator system solutions and select appropriate equipment and components.
- Lead the development, validation, and optimization of comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Design detailed material lists and engineering solutions with strong consideration for safety, reliability, manufacturability, maintenance, and lifecycle performance.
- Apply advanced BOM knowledge to support standardization, modularization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Incorporate environmentally sustainable design principles and materials whenever feasible, aligning with corporate and regulatory sustainability goals.
- Demonstrate strong cost awareness by evaluating component and solution costs, identifying optimization opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Perform independent engineering activities, including design adaptations and light modifications, in accordance with agreed contracts and specifications established by the Front Line (FL).
- Identify, select, and engineer components to meet customer-specific requirements while ensuring system compatibility and performance.
- Ensure full compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA) between Service Line (SL) and Front Line (FL).
- Proactively update order status, engineering progress, and risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
- Clarifies with relevant stakeholders incase of unclear requirements during BOM creation
- Act as a technical reference within the engineering team, sharing expertise, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Participate actively in cross-functional meetings, workshops, and design reviews, contributing to technical decision-making and problem resolution.
- Work independently with a high level of ownership, delivering assigned engineering tasks on time and to required quality standards.
- Apply a strong customer-service mindset, ensuring solutions meet or exceed customer expectations while adhering to contractual commitments.
