Sr. BSW Platform Services Development

game changers to lead the digital transformation to this new world of automotive technology with a
focus on the customer experience.
As a senior member of the SWX Basic Software Organization at Capgemini, the candidate will be
responsible for the development & integration of the embedded software running on the target
platforms for various domains like SAE Level 2, 3 automated driving features, In-vehicle Infotainment,
instrument clusters, etc. The primary duties will include the development of base-level software layers,
integration with functional safety principles, configuring and developing middleware such as AUTOSAR,
design and implement software architecture (SysML and arxml) for high-end performance ECUs. The
ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of modern safety critical electronic control units
embedded software development and possess an interest in state-of-the-art automated driving compute
platforms and emerging computational technologies.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering,
Computer Science or related Engineering field
2. 6+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++/Java, and/or other high-level
programming languages
3. Hands-on Experience leading and developing embedded software for automotive infotainment
systems (Instrument Clusters, Radios, Telematics modules etc.); Automated Driving
4. Experience with integrating and configuring various software stacks and services like Android,
Streaming Services, Navigation Services, Vehicle Services, Voice Services, Mobile Services, etc.
5. Hands-on experience in development of embedded software for production automotive
infotainment systems, hands on experience with AOSP/Android Architecture/Android
Stack/Android Framework/Android HAL Layer, Java API for HMI etc
6. Experience in implementing software OTA & cloud connectivity
7. Professional development experience using QNX Neutrino or Green Hills Integrity or Embedded
Linux or equivalent RTOS
8. Experience working on embedded target platform services like diagnostics, logging & Tracing,
client-server & other IPC mechanisms
9. Experience in various middleware architectures, specifications and configuration tools (AUTOSAR
(Adaptive), Classic, DDS, Android Frameworks)
10. Experience integrating 3rd party software and software stacks
11. Experience in Integration of AUTOSAR BSW stack (basic software) , AUTOSAR RTE (Run-time
environment) with the Application Layer
12. Experience with SW integration & configuration tools (e.g. Emulators, Debuggers,
CANoe/CANalyzer)
13. Experience with automated build and test automation systems
14. Ability to interface with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers and partners
15. Experience working with continuous integration systems and ALM tools and script automation
16. Experience with debugging and troubleshooting embedded software on target hardware
17. Experience in developing SWE.5 test cases based on feature requirements
18. Knowledge and experience with CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, SPI, Ethernet communications protocols
19. Experience working in ADAS/AD/IVI/Telematics domains as a software developer/architect
20. Familiarity using trace capture tools & debuggers (Lauterbach)
21. Team player, self motivated and drive for results
22. Travel including international up to 20%
23. Good communication skills and the ability to interface with Algorithm
