Job Summary:

The Omaha Structures Group Lead uses creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems. This position also makes decisions and recommendations that are authoritative and have an important impact on extensive organizational activities. In addition, the Omaha Structures Group Lead sets priorities and reconciles directions from competing interests, while working on programs with complex features.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead a technical discipline team for the organization
  • Develop standards and guidelines
  • Perform additional tasks as required to meet business needs
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture
  • This position may require travel. On occasion, travel to RailPros headquarters, field offices, client offices, work sites and other project related locations may be required
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational values
  • Uphold the organization’s standards of integrity, accountability, and respect in all duties and interactions
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulation
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with electronic communication including email and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate skills in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program

Additional Qualifications, Certifications, etc.:

  • Professional Engineer (PE), equivalent, or authorization of CLPO
  • Member of professional practice organization, national board member or officer, recognized expert on statewide activity, resource for national activities and organization
