QA Engineer

ABOUT THE ENGINEER IN TEST ROLE AND OUR TEAM

The Knot Worldwide is hiring an Engineer in Test to join a highly motivated team based in NYC or Austin. The right engineer will enjoy fast-paced collaboration with product, design, data, and user experience teams in an Agile environment to ensure high quality web based features for our US vendors. 
This role will focus on applications and products in the Vendor Zone, iterating on features that bring innovation to our US vendors on our WeddingPro brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that features are high-quality by building test strategies, writing and executing test plans, and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
• Manually test new features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.
• Interface with teams in coordinating manual regression testing for every production release.
• Leverage skills and experience to develop automated tests to ensure product quality.
• Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process.
• Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
• Support squad initiatives by following agile practices and suggesting process improvements. 

SUCCESSFUL ENGINEERS IN TEST HAVE:

• Practical knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• 1-3 years of experience with modern UI test frameworks like Cypress or Playwright and API tools like Postman.
• Experience collaborating with PMs, designers and Engineers in an Agile environment
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience writing automated tests for backend services and APIs using frameworks such as Supertest, Mocha, Tap or similar is a plus.

WORK MODEL:

This role is Together@TKWW-eligible. If you’re based in NYC, we follow a hybrid schedule, balancing in-office collaboration of days a week  and work-from-home flexibility. If you’re in Austin, this position is remote for now, with the potential to shift to a hybrid model as our local team grows.
