Job Title: Engineer - Technical Support

Role Focus: I&C Costig, Planning, Sourcing Coordination, Vendor Finalisation, CAS Portal Drive and PAN India Franchisee Compliance Support

Department: Thermal Management Services

Location: India / Project Support Location, as required

Job Purpose

Support Installation and Commissioning operations across India by managing costing, planning, sourcing coordination, vendor finalisation, CAS portal tracking and franchisee compliance activities. The role helps ensure smooth project execution, timely coordination, process discipline, documentation control and compliance with service quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

I&C Costing and Planning

  • Prepare basic costing, budget inputs and commercial estimates for I&C activities.
  • Support manpower planning, travel planning, tools planning and project resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project schedules and execution plans with regional teams.
  • Track project progress against approved timelines and cost requirements.

Sourcing Coordination and Vendor Finalisation

  • Coordinate with procurement, vendors and service partners for project requirements.
  • Collect quotations and support technical and commercial comparison.
  • Assist in vendor evaluation, documentation and finalisation process.
  • Follow up with vendors for delivery, quality, compliance and project support requirements.

CAS Portal Drive

  • Drive CAS portal updates for I&C project registration, tracking and closure.
  • Monitor approval status, documentation status and pending actions.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations and service teams for timely CAS process completion.
  • Maintain CAS related records, reports and follow-up trackers.

PAN India Franchisee Compliance Support

  • Support franchisee partners to follow Vertiv I&C, safety, quality and reporting standards. 
  • Track mandatory documents, manpower deployment, certifications and daily reporting. 
  • Monitor checklist usage, calibrated tools, PPE compliance and site documentation. 
  • Support franchisee audit follow-up and corrective action closure. 

Project Coordination 

  • Coordinate with customers, franchisees, consultants, PMCs, testing agencies and internal teams. 
  • Support material planning, delivery tracking and site execution readiness. 
  • Share project updates, risks, delays and escalation points with stakeholders. 
  • Support execution teams during commissioning, handover and project closure. 

Documentation and Reporting 

  • Maintain project trackers, costing sheets, vendor details and compliance records. 
  • Prepare MIS reports, progress summaries and management updates. 
  • Ensure commissioning documents, reports, certificates and handover records are maintained properly. 
  • Support audit, governance and process improvement activities. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC or related engineering discipline. 
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in technical support, project coordination, service operations, procurement support or commissioning activities. 
  • Experience in data centre, HVAC, thermal management, telecom or critical infrastructure projects will be preferred.
