As an Engineer, Technical Support , you will be a key member of the Technical Team, reporting directly to the Director, Product & Customer Service . You will collaborate across departments, working closely with Sales, Product Management, and Tech Support teams to support our products.
In this role, you will lead the team to provide technical and installation support for our Canadian Solar products within EMEA region. Your primary goal will be to guide these teams to deliver exceptional in-house support to colleagues and premium service to customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Effectively manage Technical Support, Field & Installation Services, overseeing the provision of technical pre-sales support for customers and the sales team, as well as coordinating Field & Installation services.
• Provide consolidated input to upper management, offering insights and recommendations.
• Foster customer awareness, conduct site visits, customer visits, customer trainings, generate new opportunities, and monitor annual and quarterly revenue and margin contributions.
• Develop complex financial analyses for inverters and storage solutions, including simple payback calculations, optimal operational strategies, utility rate assessments, and interconnection optimization by using softwares like PV Syst/ PV sol.
• Take responsibility for meeting quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets, in alignment with overall sales activities and strategies, by driving deals for both new and existing products in close collaboration with the assigned Sales Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or comparable; master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the PV/Renewable Energy business is a must, utility projects experience is a plus.
• Relevant prior experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or product management, ideally in the energy storage and/or inverter sector.
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a people leadership role, experience with startup company and ability to build the organization from scratch is a plus.
• Valid driver license required.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
• Willingness to take challenging tasks and work under high pressure.
