PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION -
The primary purpose of this position is to strengthen the Technical Publications team by enabling high-quality, consistent, and timely delivery of technical illustrations for Gasoline Engines BU.
This position reports to the Deputy Manager of Technical Publications. The candidate will work independently with internal customers and the Engines Tech Pub team. This individual contributor role involves managing customer-specific parts catalog tasks (Illustrations and BOM) independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES –
- Master in the different software tools required for basic job functions and assimilation the best practices in Technical Publications for. Microsoft excelCreo viewAdobe InDesign, Adobe IllustratorAdobe Acrobat ProWindchill / PLMSAP
- Works with customers on projects in a self-driven way, with a strong interpretation of inputs and requirements of delivery.
- Completes assignments using prescribed procedures within the standard project timelines.
- Clarifies outstanding questions with the departments concerned (Project Management, Technical Publications, Engineering CAD team), and where necessary with external companies and suppliers.
- Capture new learning while executing the project and create/update the standard document procedure/workflow/decision making tree.
- Coordinate and track time spent on technical publication projects
- Manage workload, achieve results with minimal supervision, and advise project managers on project status and potential issues
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
- 1 to 3 years of experience in documentation development
- Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage concurrent tasks / small projects and drive to completion
- Strong personal drive with can-do attitude, and the ability to work extended periods without supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills when challenges are complex
- Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
- Strong ability to cope with frequent schedule and priority changes
- Fluent in verbal and written communication
- Strong Knowledge on Engines
- Knowledge of ISO quality management system
This position will report to Mr. Nilesh Deshmukh (Deputy Manager-Technical Publications) in Rehlko Services Center, India and will work as individual contributor, the renumeration (CTC) for this role would be approx.
