Space Systems is currently searching for an experienced Systems Engineer - Business Development Level 3 to join the Systems Engineering Integration and Test team within the Launch Vehicle business unit to support business development efforts in Chandler, AZ.

In this job you will;

  • Focus all efforts to supporting incoming requests for proposals for the Business Development Group.

  • Perform Systems Engineering based analyses of supporting documents/requirements which will require the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Possess strong technical problem solving, written and verbal communication skills to generate and document system level launch vehicle requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system level verification/data review activities pertaining to proposal documentation.

  • Regular interface with program management, engineering staff and external customers is expected.

  • Provide independent systems engineering support leading proposal efforts parsing out all requirements for the proposal to the appropriate discipline and following up on successful completion of all disciplines submissions to ensure requirements are met.

  • Be a team player working with all disciplines and BD leadership to foster a collaborative environment.

  • Possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously and possess demonstrated mentoring/training skills.

  • Be required to travel domestically on a periodic basis.

  • Creates and modifies management tracking reports for a variety of systems engineering performance parameters, resource metrics and design margins.

  • Provide data and support risk management as it pertains to proposal efforts.

  • Provide costing support for proposal submissions.

  • Support creation of system architectures(s), system physical views - system elements (blocks) and critical interfaces (internal and external) to a level of maturity to meet proposal requirements.

  • Present and prepares materials for presentation for proposal requirements review.

Basic Qualifications

  • This position requires Bachelor Degree plus 5 years of experience; Masters degree plus 3 years of experience; PhD plus 0 years of experience.

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
