As an Engineer Sr., you will conduct technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, design and construction of new and existing facilities, and research on new developments, applying your strong understanding of industry and operational requirements. Taking initiative and anticipating customer needs will make you a stand-out player. Confidence in presentation-making and the ability to work independently and as a team leader are also vital in this role!

In this role, you will lead the design and integration of plant-wide control systems, including BOP, generator and turbine controls, Power Management Systems (PMS), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will develop and review control strategies, system logic, and network architectures; provide technical guidance to vendors and integrators; and support projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operations. You will troubleshoot and optimize control system performance, lead design reviews and Management of Change (MOC) activities, ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver reliable, integrated plant solutions.

You will bring expertise in PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, and power system controls, along with experience programming, configuring, and troubleshooting industrial control systems. Your background will include Allen-Bradley/FactoryTalk, AVEVA (Wonderware), SEL applications, industrial networking, OT/IT integration, and communications protocols such as OPC UA, DNP3, and IEC 61850. Experience with P&IDs, instrumentation, control system commissioning, and large capital projects in EPC environments will position you for success.

  • Demonstrates technical expertise in a specialty, geographic area, or operational function and applies specialized knowledge in the effective completion of large-scope projects

  • Prepares and delivers presentations

  • Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions

  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and improves products, processes or services

  • Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs

  • Champions processes, procedures and safety standards

  • Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry and PE Certification

Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

  • Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area

  • Preferred: Project Management experience

Technical Specialist Staff

As Technical Specialist Staff, you’ll serve as a subject matter specialist in your field. This role is responsible for developing and implementing operational standards and technical specifications, so attention to detail and safety are top priorities. It’s also a leadership role, required to coordinate the work of team members and leads presentations to management!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Performs tasks that safely ensure system integrity, support pipeline operations and maintain regulatory compliance and facility equipment

  • Serves as subject matter specialist and leader in a specific technical field

  • Develops and implements operational and/or technical standards and specifications

  • Troubleshoots/resolves sophisticated problems using existing precedents/procedures

  • Provides technical/operational mentorship

  • Accounts for the technical aspect of the project plan and collaborates with company partners

  • Drives development and tasks associated with operations, equipment maintenance, technical standards and/or governmental requirements

  • Leads team projects of major scope or unusual complexity that has an impact on profitability

  • Adheres to Company policies and safety procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: High school diploma/GED with equivalent experience or Associates degree and a minimum eight (8) years’ experience in oil & gas industry

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or engineering and a minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty field

Other Requirements:
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, Allen Bradley and SCADA solutions

  • Familiar with Distributed Control System (DCS) programming (Yokogawa)
