As a Software Engineer for Crop Care Software for Ag Engineering located in Ankeny, Iowa, you will be a member of an embedded development scrum team working with multiple stakeholders to build and implement functionality for self-propelled application equipment. In addition, you will:
- Design, develop, and test software for a broad spectrum of Deere equipment functionality
- Operate in a scrum team environment on varying projects with direction from a project lead(s).
- Provide product support of the system(s).

- Experience in embedded software development with experience in design, development, and testing
- Software development in C, C++, C#, or other scripting programming languages
- Understand real-time operating system concepts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability and experience working in a self-directed mode

- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (both domestically and internationally)
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with CAN communication protocols such as J1939 and ISO 11783
- Experience with control system design
- Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems in an automotive or agricultural setting
- Experience with AI augmented software development
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
