Job Description
As a Software Engineer Test, you will contribute to the development of FactoryTalk® Optix™ — our modern visualization platform enabling scalable, collaborative and efficient HMI solutions. You will design and develop automated tests that ensure the reliability and quality of the product. You will work within the ViewE team, part of the Control and Visualization Business, collaborating with developers, testers and stakeholders in an Agile environment.
You will report to the Team Lead and work in a hybrid setup in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:- Develop automated tests using Python and Squish.
- Design, create, execute and maintain test cases.
- Participate in reviews of designs, documents and test cases.
- Monitor automated test results and report defects to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation required by the software development process.
- Ensure test coverage for new and modified product functionalities.
- Support the team's CI environment by maintaining and frequently executing automated tests.
- Contribute to functional and system requirements analysis for new features.
- Evaluate the testing process and propose improvements.
- Facilitate communication within the local team and with remote stakeholders.
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience working as a software tester.
- Practical knowledge of Python.
- 3+ years of experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware).
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum).
- Communicative English enabling collaboration with a global team.
- Experience with C++, Qt, .NET, C#, Git, Jenkins, Jira, qTest.
- Experience working with Continuous Delivery environments.
- Familiarity with SAFe or similar scaled Agile frameworks.
