The Monitoring Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions across non-production and production environments. This role focuses on ensuring system health and performance through Splunk, Splunk ITSI, synthetic transaction monitoring, application performance monitoring (APM), and network performance monitoring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Configure and manage monitoring tools, primarily Splunk and Splunk ITSI
Implement synthetic transaction and APM solutions to proactively detect issues
Maintain network performance visibility and alerting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve observability coverage
Document monitoring standards, configurations, and processes
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years in monitoring/observability roles with hands-on experience in Splunk and ITSI or related tooling
REGISTRATIONS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: (list those required to perform the job that ALL associates in the role must have)
Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk ITSI Certified) preferred.
SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:
Strong expertise in Splunk and ITSI

Scripting skills (Python, Shell, PowerShell) are an asset
Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities
