Full-stack Java web developer responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting browser-based web applications integrated with SAP ERP. Establish Java web development standards, manage changing workloads, ensure software quality, collaborate with IT and business teams, and support manufacturing and financial application needs.

We are looking for a full-stack Java web developer to join our expanding IT team who can work on both back-end and front-end systems. Candidates must be able to develop software that aligns with the architecture platforms. Web applications will be browser-based and integrated with our SAP ERP environment.


This position will be instrumental in establishing Java web development standards and methodologies in a growing and evolving manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a self-motivated team player, excited by the prospect of supporting our company's next-generation initiatives, and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Develop moderate to complex programs with an emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Responsible for analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, reporting, and system enhancements.
  • Develop web-based applications that interface with the SAP ERP environment.
  • Test new development and enhancements to work toward the objective of defect-free software.
  • Document new and modified software and reports.
  • Manage workloads to account for changing business demands.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of facts and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to solve problems and ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to IT staff, management, and clients.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of applicable development experience in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tomcat, and Jboss.
  • Experience working with modern design and development tools
  • Experience with manufacturing and financial applications
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Medium written and verbal English communication skills as required to discuss training, general direction, and other position-related tasks
  • Ability to learn, embrace, and apply new technologies and techniques.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and balance multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Must possess a positive, "can do" attitude.
  • Must be flexible and willing to support team members in as needed.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Able to develop Java programs for various functional requirements
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure, MS-SQL , MySQL is a plus
  • Experience with the integration with SAP is a plus
  • Experience with the Liferay platform is a plus
  • Experience with MuleSoft is a plus
  • Familiar with DevOps ( CI/CD) procedures
