SL Tendering Specialist, Modernization
Tendering Specialist support KONE’s Front Line sales need by providing tendering solutions that meet customer requirements and the business requirements of cost-effectiveness, on-time delivery and competitiveness.
Tendering Specialist is the FL contact for tendering issues.
This role will report to the SL Tendering Team Leader.
Requirements for the candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred) or mechanical engineering
- 3 years of experience in Tendering, Technical support, Engineering, or project management.
- Good knowledge in Elevator products & components
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SAP is must.
- Good communication in both spoken and written English
- Basic Microsoft Office usage skills
Key responsibilities:
- Supports Front Lines globally in providing tendering solutions and specifications on elevator modernization business
- Is the FL contact for technical questions and costing support in tendering phase, before 0 (S-Plan). He/she may also participate in planning / specification meetings in SL.
- Coordinates specifications within Supply Line (also with Sourcing, Engineering or local subcontractors)
- Ensures that the proposed solution fulfils the codes, regulations and safety requirements as well as requirements of cost-effectiveness, on-time and competitiveness
- Manages tender drawings and related documents
- Makes the material specifications for KONE and local material. Checks and updates the specification based on variations.
- Evaluates and assure the consistency & accuracy of tender quotations.
- Prepares the logic and reliable quotation for volume product / nonstandard project / option, variation order (VO), feedback (FB), warranty claims, etc.
- Participates in product release related sessions and validates prices and configuration for MOD packages.
- Assist Supply Management with large or complex order phase change order transfer pricing.
- Work as part of project team to support tender SPOC (locally or globally)
