YOUR ROLE
As an engineer in the Compiler Group, you’ll contribute to C, C++, and Rust toolchains and runtime libraries for Wind River’s next generation real-time embedded operating system and Wind River’s flagship VxWorks operating system.
In your daily job you will:
Develop functionally safe and secure libraries for use with the OS.
Work with the open-source community on the C, C++, and Rust toolchains and libraries.
Collaborate with global software engineering teams.
Follow safe and secure development processes.
Work in a team that has been working on compilers and related technologies for decades!
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of systems development experience in the industry
Experience in scripting languages e.g., Bash, Python
Strong C/C++ programming experience
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience developing software for a PowerPC/Arm/Intel/RISC-V based embedded environment
Knowledge of compiler development, LLVM internals, Rust is a major plus
Knowledge of ASPICE and/or automative standards is a plus
