What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Looking for an individual having strong SAP Basis background in HANA, ABAP, Java and GCP.
The individual shall
• Work as an SAP Technology SME as part of SAP Platform Operations team, applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
• Participates in the development policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
• Provide expertise related to SAP and DB performance, HA/DR, and scalability
• Recommends new/improvement in practices, processes, metrics, or models
• Modification of system level configuration to optimize performance
• Works on, contribute, and/or lead medium complex projects
• Provides solutions which are industry best practices
• Independently determines method for completion of new projects
• Receives guidance on overall project objectives
• Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- More than 8 years of overall SAP experience and 5+ years’ relevant experience
- Experience administering and supporting mid to large scale SAP applications
- Experience with SAP installations, upgrades and migrations
- Strong understanding of the SAP systems, in memory database technology (HANA) as well as hardware.
- Experience with HA/DR technologies and Linux
- Experience working with infrastructure teams and implementing configuration best practices
- Experience in scripting knowledge
- Experience in a regulated environment (SOX, FDA, etc.) subject to compliance controls
- Excellent interpersonal, written and team collaboration skill
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload and manage customer commitments.
- Good presentation skills
