Job DescriptionJob Summary
- Mentor of Quality Management and Methods on business processes and controls.
- To provide consultation to staffs and managements in terms of Quality Improvement of Products, Process Quality Management and Risk Management.
- Develop and review the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
- Drive for cross functional Quality mindset and continual improvements environment.
- Deploy and implement Quality Management Method initiatives to meet Plant and Business unit KPI’s.
- Ensure internal and external failures cost are monitor and drive for improvement.
- Responsible for Product quality improvement, approval and implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of business processes to improve the efficiency.
- Effective manpower planning, Budget planning and control.
- Provide technical support to cross functional departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Scope
- Overall responsibility of QMM Organization & its Management System – Start Up Projects, Warranty, Customer Complaint management, Problem Solving, Outgoing/In-Process, MSA, Reliability, etc.
- Establishing strategies for effective Product and component testing and approval.
- Monitor, report of KPI’s in timely manner and establish action plan for improvement.
- Ensure closed loop of internal and external audit finding include product safety audit.
- Responsible for Quality problem resolution through problem solving skills PSS/8D.
- Responsible to train QMM employees in Quality Management and Methods program (eg. Central Directive-CDQ, Guidelines, PT and PgP2 procedures, standards, Q-Tools, PSS, FMEA, N2580 etc.).
- Drive cross functional team for Quality product & process Improvement (eg. Data mining, Q-VSM, elimination of Inspection).
- Regular review with QMM team on improvement progress, provide necessary guidance & support.
- Responsible for Plant-to-Plant Quality complaint management, Product transfer on Quality measures between Plant.
- Responsible for Quality Reporting eg. Management review, plant Quality Meeting, BU Q-review, etc.
- Specific tasks assigned by the supervisor as and when necessary to meet the target or deadline.
- Bachelor Degree in technical discipline (eg. Engineering, Science).
- Preferable with professional qualification eg. certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Manager for Quality Organizational and Excellence, Charter Quality Professional.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in manufacturing environment (Quality, Engineering, Process).
- Preferably Certified Lead Assessor/Auditor or System auditor experiences.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Standard, TS16949, Product safety requirement eg. IEC, EN, UL, etc.
- Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of problem solving technique in solving Quality issues including risk assessment evaluation.
- Effective communication skills with all levels within the organization, suppliers and customers.
- Proficient in application of PSS/8D, MSA, DOE, SPC, etc.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, giving constructive feedback regularly & self-motivation, monitor & follow up assignments/jobs towards achievement of goals.
- Able to guide individuals or groups towards task accomplishment besides building the cohesive, cooperative and positive teams.
