What You’ll Do:
Drive, maintain and support the NVH modeling strategy.
Support finite element code and methods development with focus on solid mechanics and acoustics applications for tire performance prediction
Support other engineers in the team via training, user support, debugging of design and performance concepts, and any special needs in the tire performance tools
Collaborate with the other engineers on the team to identify new or revised tire performance technologies, develop rules regarding those standards and technologies, document and codify such rules into knowledge manuals, and implement those rules, standards, and technologies in the tire performance manual.
Participate in the design, development, and industrialization of tire engineering projects (applied and fundamental) which result in new tire products, processes, tools and technologies
What We’re Looking For:
MSc. degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar
Strong theoretical knowledge in structural dynamics and acoustics
General graduate knowledge in computational solid mechanics, multiscale methods, computational acoustics, (including nonlinear finite elements, acoustics, material models (rubber, shells), contact mechanics, validation testing and model updating)
Knowledge of numerical simulation tools like Abaqus, Nastran or Ansys with focus on NVH Simulations.
Use of basic development systems/practices: Git, IDEs, Agile
