Primary Objective
The objective of this role is to plan and control the supply and movement of materials and labor, machine utilization and related activities, to bring about desired manufacturing results in quality, quantity, time, and place. Review of the drawings in respect of Material Planning & Procurement and co-ordinate with Project Department. in case of any issue observed in the drawing like detail of part is missing, discrepancy in MOC, etc.
Main Role & Responsibilities
1. Review of the drawings in respect of Material Planning & Procurement and co-ordinate with Project Department. by email in case of any issue observed in the drawing like detail of part is missing, discrepancy in MOC, etc.
2. List out the items from Bill of Material (BOM) mentioned in the drawings and go through the detail shown in the drawing to calculate the actual requirement of these items.
3. Prepare BOM & Monitoring Sheet where the items are segregated with their actual requirement into major categories like Plates, pipes, Forgings, Fittings, Gasket, Fasteners, Misc. Items, etc. from procurement point of view.
4. Co-ordinate with Store Department. to check the stock availability against the said requirement so that the inventory may be utilized (By email).
5. Raise Material Requisition (MR) to Purchase Department. for procurement of the required material for manufacturing equipment. In the case of raw materials like plates, physical verification of minimum inventory level at regular intervals and initiate MR accordingly for procurement to maintain the required level.
6. Updating of BOM & Monitoring Sheet at regular intervals to ensure that all materials has been ordered by Purchase Department. and do follow up with Purchase Department. for items which are not ordered yet.
7. Updating of BOM & Monitoring Sheet in reference to PO details and Delivery date, so that proper follow-up of materials can be done by expediting person.
8. Updating of Job Work Distribution Sheet on weekly basis where all the equipment with its drawing nos. loaded on the shop floor can be visualized.
9. Knowledge of ISO9001/14001/45001 is preferred.
10. Knowledge of Safety Standards in industrial workshops is preferred.
Essential Skills/Experience
· B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
· Well versed with Microsoft Office with knowledge of advance excel tools
· Experience of 6-8 years in a sheet metal fabrication workshop – preferably stainless steel
· Good knowledge of different business functions.
· Strong leadership qualities.
· Excellent communication skills
· Highly organized.
· Strong work ethic.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Meticulous attention to detail.
· Computer literate.
· Proactive nature.
· Analytical and problem-solving ability.
· Planning and project management skills.
