More about our mission and what we offer.
Job DescriptionAs a People Technology Engineer (Workday Time & Absence), you will be a vital technical contributor driving the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our time and absence processes. You will execute standard configuration tasks, resolve legacy setup issues, and implement mandatory legislative updates for our growing global workforce (with a focus on the Americas region).
Working closely with senior domain experts and People Operations stakeholders, you will help clear our T&A backlog and enable our global expansion. Long-term, you will be a key part of our shift toward a regionally aligned, POps-adjacent product team, broadening your skills to provide holistic Workday support to your regional stakeholders.
How we work:
We apply engineering principles to People Tech. You’ll be part of a team that values documentation, peer reviews, and scalable architecture. We empower teams to make decisions and take ownership. We value clear outcomes, strong cross-functional partnerships and measurable impact.
What will you be working on?:
Functional Configuration: Execute hands-on configuration of Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management. Build and update standard leave plans, holiday calendars, time entry codes, and basic routing rules.
Issue Resolution & Ticket Management: Manage and resolve technical support queries and bugs via Jira. Troubleshoot user errors, correct localized accrual issues, and maintain the day-to-day functional health of the T&A module.
Stakeholder Support: Partner with regional People Operations teams (Americas focus) to understand their operational bottlenecks and implement system adjustments that improve employee experience and ensure local compliance.
Testing & Documentation: Conduct rigorous unit and regression testing for Workday bi-annual releases and internal feature deployments. Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all T&A configurations.
Data & Reporting: Build and maintain custom reports to support People Operations in tracking absence liabilities, time-off balances, and operational metrics.
Workday Configuration Experience: Proven hands-on experience configuring Workday HCM, with a specific focus on Absence Management and/or Time Tracking modules.
Execution Focus: Strong ability to manage routine ticket maintenance, execute standard configuration tasks, and deliver reliable solutions under the guidance of senior technical leads.
Problem-Solving Mindset: You are analytically minded—capable of investigating discrepancies in time-off accruals or time-entry errors and applying logical fixes.
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate system logic into simple language for regional People Operations stakeholders and employees.
Engineering Values: An egoless approach to work, a deep focus on employee data security/confidentiality, and a commitment to high-quality testing and peer review.
