Apply industrial engineering concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling and production planning. Use statistical analysis to evaluate manufacturing line performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Seek out novel methodologies and tools to better predict and track manufacturing key line performance indicators. Understand and drive improvements to operational performance. Complete all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policies. Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Report all safety-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.). Perform audits and submits good catches on safety issues. Partner with key stakeholders to develop applications to continuously improve production metrics. Present findings and recommends solutions to fab performance gaps to diverse audiences. Interface with TD and process engineering to plan for future product introduction. Provide updates on key projects and lots. Partner with the area Engineering and Operations teams to keep updated on area issues, priorities, and projects. Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources. Design and coordinate projects with several different departments. Support inventory control and cycletime improvement processes. Support and lead efforts for New Part Startup, and Technode Planning Milestones. Establish operational business processes and procedures that are deployed across Fab 4 and in some cases globally, partnering with the Part and Area Operations teams. Lead projects, including the identification of task requirements and milestones. Develop best practices, reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations. Forecast and setting cycle time targets, WIP Limits, wafer delivery plans and other operational measures while tracking performance to plan. Benchmark with other Micron sites and the industry in general to leverage best known methods (BKMs). May telecommute.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM) or related field. Position requires:
1. Tableau, SQL, R, Python.
2. Production line management including managing and optimizing a bottleneck within a manufacturing line, and in managing and monitoring line yield and its impact to performance on a manufacturing line.
3. Statistics, advanced data analysis, project management
4. Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning), including manufacturing capacity planning, Cycle Time, and Queuing Theory
5. Optimizing capacity and cycle time with manufacturing scheduling systems and/or creating/optimizing processes and procedures/automating tasks.
6. Improve production metrics and line performance.
7. Auditing a process.
