PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION -

Provide Manufacturing Work Instruction support (MPMlink) to business units by applying best practices in creating WI’s / SOPs in the domain of Generator for small assembly line (C Line) for Mosel Plant. Managing projects individually as well as in a team environment by ensuring timeline and quality requirements from business units.

New Resources as a replacement to support MPMlink project to PS manufacturing facility.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES –  

1.        Receive and analyze project request through proper channel, and estimate the scope, timelines and any other specific requirements.

·        Should be able to plan and come up with solutions to project requirements in discussions with the BU and the manager.


2.        Product Knowledge, CAD and other software tools

·        Should be able to know design and develop systems, subsystems, and components of generators. 

·        Should be expert in manufacturing process of Genset.

·        Should be able to create Work Instructions/ SOP for the Genset manufacturing facility.

·        Should have experience in the CAD tool (Creo & Relevant) required by the Business Unit.

·        Should be able to analyze GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.

·        Should have a good command of DFMA and design for serviceability.

·        Should be knowledgeable about manufacturing processes preferably sheet metal, casting, and plastic.

·        Should have good knowledge of manufacturing engineering.

·        Should be knowledgeable about inspection methods.

·        He/ She should be able to work with PLM (preferably Windchill) and data management systems.

·        He/ She should be able to work on ERP (preferably SAP) systems under the manager’s guidance.

3.        In case of multiple projects on hand, prioritize the projects with close coordination with the business unit.

·        Should be able to prioritize and come up with suggestions on prioritization and resource allocation in discussions with the BU and the manager.


4.        Execute/allocate the project requests by meeting the business unit requirements with respect to scope, timeline and specifics.

·        Work in coordination with reporting manager to execute and complete the project from start to end by ensuring timeline and quality.

·        Should be able to provide and seek solutions to resolve technical as well as non-technical issues that may affect the project with a proactive approach.

·        Keep manager updated on all project related issues, concerns and achievements and seek his support whenever required.

·        Should be able to work and handle multiple projects efficiently.

·        Provide and implement corrective actions and preventive measures regarding quality and timelines for the projects and maintain proper documentation.

·        Provide value-added suggestions for design improvements and cost reductions wherever applicable.

·        Should be able to handle complex projects under the guidance of the manager.


5.        Generate and manage daily time logs and related reports.

·        Ensure project status is up to date.

·        Also update project information at the appropriate database.

·        Assist/ guide other team members in documentation wherever required.


6.        Ensure all set processes are followed with allowed deviation from the business units and develop as well as document new processes and design practices as per business needs

·        Should be conversant with most of the set process.

·        Should follow the process thoroughly and insist others do the same.

·        Should be able to give suggestions regarding process improvements or developing new processes for improving efficiency.

·        Work closely with managers/colleagues to understand the changes and new processes that have been developed and give input whenever required. 

7.        Ensure all Rehlko core competencies are well understood and practiced.

8.        Should be eager to learn about the latest developments in the field of technology with respect to the job requirements.

9.        Miscellaneous documentation as assigned.
