KBR is looking for Engineer, Metering with experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi Site for PMC project.



JOB PURPOSE:

Plan and supervise the maintenance activities of a wide range of instrument & control systems in the plant and coordinate these activities with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure reliable functioning of the instrument and control systems.


4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific:

 

Maintenance Planning, Execution and expertise

·     Provide support to the operations and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance and start-up activities. Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical teams and establish a seamless integration between operation and maintenance teams to ensure compliance to the planned maintenance activities.

·     Provide technical support in the field for the execution of critical maintenance activities of the equipments to ensure that the problems are resolved with minimum down time.

·     Evaluate, allocate and arrange the manpower requirements for daily preventive, break down and shutdown maintenance plans.

·     Assess the workload, backlog and the work plan and coordinate with relevant sections to complete the work plan. Monitor and arrange the resources for effective compliance to the agreed work plan.

·     Monitor and control required material, spares, consumables and tools in high quality and quantities to ensure continuous availability.

·     Conduct and implement root cause analysis of equipment failures and non-scheduled shutdowns and recommend problem resolutions to increase the reliability and availability of equipment.

·     Provide input to prepare and track the forthcoming major maintenance, upgrades and obsolescence issues to integrate with the division's 5 years' rolling business plans

·     Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the mechanical design and specifications to optimize costs and ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.

·     Participate in defining the technical requirements, technical bid evaluation and inspection of materials on receipt to ensure specifications and required quality.

·     Monitor the performance of Contractors for the assigned works to ensure quality and standards.

·     Preparation of HIRA, raising temporary concession and permanent management of change (minor and major) as per plant operation requirement

·     Carryout out root cause analysis for the failure, implementation of the recommendations raised at different levels

·     Review and ensure that HSECES job plans are appropriate, available and properly assigned for all the PMs in Maximo and ensure the data quality.

·     Conduct Internal PM Audits to ensure effectiveness of procedure and job plan implementation.

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. 
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives. 

 

Operational Plans

  • Develop consistent and realistic long and short term operational plans for the Department in line with the Division objectives and manage the implementation of the approved long and short term plans and ensure they are effectively converted into its performance objectives to realise the Division Objectives and established service levels.

Budgets and Cost Control

  • Develop and manage the Department annual budget in line with the Division’s business objectives and operational plans ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all Department activities.
  • Monitor expenditure against approved Department budget on a regular basis; investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Develop and implement appropriate Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls, Company guidelines in order to support execution of the Division’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the development of the Division’s KPI’s and ensure proper cascade of the Performance objectives within the Department and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure delivery of these objectives and promote a performance driven culture.
  • Manage the implementation of the Company Performance Management System for individuals within the Department in accordance with Company approved guidelines.

People Development

  • Develop knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the Department and support the establishment of Succession Planning and Talent pipeline within the Department in coordination with the Human Capital to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet Emiratization targets.

Organisation Structure and Development

  • Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organisation structure for the Department that will best utilise human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices to meet the business objectives.

Risk Management

  • Contribute and support establishment of a Corporate Integrated Risk Management System within the Department, while identifying and assessing relevant domain risks and implement measures to manage and mitigate all identified risks within the Department.
  • Communicate corporate business ethics and Company’s Code of Conduct to employees within the Department and ensure compliance to the Corporate Policies and guidelines.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Promote an organisation culture that encourages innovation, enhances employee motivation and supports initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve the Department operations and services.
  • Recommend improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the Department.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Support the institution and implementation of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Department in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all Department employees to meet HSE standards.

Management Reports

  • Ensure that all Department MIS and progress reports are prepared to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to Company Management to effectively manage the business.
5. COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP:

Internal:

  • Regular work related contact with concerned Section I Team Leader and Department Manager as required, peer Professional staff and team members on matters related to Team/ Section Policies and Processes, People, HSE and domain specific issues.
  • Rotating equipment Engineers, Operation Coordinators, Technical Service Team, HSE advisors, Area Central Maintenance Team / Section Leaders and Engineers (Work shop, Civil, Electrical, Planning, Control and DCS), Support maintenance (Planning & Shutdown).

External:

  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of plant machines, third part services providers for spare parts

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 12 years of experience in Instrument and Control engineering and maintenance with full knowledge of HSE in a plant environment within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Deep knowledge of implementation & maintenance of Instrument & control engineering function's policies with working knowledge or activities such as testing, repairing, calibration and troubleshooting
  • ·Of the Instrumentation Control systems
  • Awareness of designing in-house engineered works including drawings, specifications/ data sheets
  • Knowledge of CMMS (SAP/Maximo)
  • Awareness of international standards and engineering best practices related to oil & Gas Industry
  • Demonstrated skills in the commissioning, operation and maintenance of control systems
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
