We’re hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical and thermal systems, with a focus on heat exchanger design. You’ll manage engineering projects, ensure compliance with ASME codes, and support manufacturing operations from concept to production.
What You'll Do:
Design custom heat exchangers to meet customer and ASME requirements
Perform detailed ASME calculation (Section VIII, III, V, IX)
Lead and manage long-term, multi-phase engineering projects
Resolve manufacturing and production issues with hands-on engineering solutions.
Collaborate with drafting teams to develop drawings and bills of materials
Conduct thermal and pressure testing in our on-site test lab
Drive continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
Contribute to Xylem Watermark volunteer programs and sustainability efforts
What You'll Bring:
BS in Mechanical Engineering
5 plus years of experience in mechanical engineer or related field
Strong background in CAD and PTC Creo
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with ASME code design (especially Section VIII, III, V, IX)
Familiarity with military standards and specifications is preferred
Proven project management and team collaboration skills
Work Environment:
Office/Mfg. Plant: 50/50
Minimal travel required
The estimated salary range for this position is $ 100k to $115k with a bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
