The Test Engineer whose primary function is to execute and implement quality solutions around day-to-day activities as it relates to a Quality Roadmap within the committed timeline and quality standards. Provide quality releases for stakeholders and customers
Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases to validate new product enhancements based on functional product requirements and design specification documents. Troubleshoot and resolve production support problems reported by customers and Development Ops.
Works closely with architects, analysts, designers and software engineers to ensure quality releases within each product/service line for stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities-
Contribute to the creation of test plans to ensure all functional and design requirements are met.

Design and develop test cases to ensure products meet all functional and design requirements including manual and automated regression, functional, system, and integration test efforts.

Perform manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Set up and configure test environments.

Evaluate and test new or modified programs, interfaces, and software applications.

Execute manual and automated tests, report execution results, and attest to the quality of the enhancement or defect fix.

Execute integration tests with product interface partners and other products in the software solution stream.

Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect-tracking tool (e.g. Jira) and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution and validation.

Verify data integrity and accuracy across healthcare databases, ensuring HIPAA-compliant handling of Protected Health Information (PHI).

Maintain pre-existing (regression) test cases to keep current as new enhancements are introduced.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Development and QA Team members to vet requirements, understand workflows and translate into testable scenarios that are traceable back to acceptance criteria.
Required Work Experience:

3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, including web-based, mobile, or enterprise-level applications.

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

One year experience with evaluation methods in the design, development and debugging of software systems including: software testing, GUI testing, and software development life cycle.

Experience with test automation tools, defect-tracking systems, SQL queries, test plan and test case development.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based or hybrid.
- May involve occasional “on-call” hours during software release cycles.
- Requires a high level of professional ethics due to the sensitive nature of patient data.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, talk, and listen for long periods at a time.

- Bachelor’s degree and/or work equivalent experience in Computer Science, analytics, informatics, health care or equivalent. (Required)

Master’s degree in health informatics or information systems. (Preferred)

Proficiency in SQL for backend data validation. (Preferred)
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE). (Preferred)
