Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
IT Network & Telecommunications designs, operates and maintains the organization's local and wide area networks and telecommunications systems and manages relationships with telecommunications service and maintenance vendors. This job family evaluates existing network systems and develops long-term strategies to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements. IT Network & Telecommunications performs technical analyses of software, hardware, and network systems as well as systems engineering for front-end processors, multiplexors, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of networking concepts and systems including routing, switching, WAN/LAN, WLANs, Cisco & HP network devices.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of SDWAN specific to Meraki and Cloudgenix design
- Demonstrated thorough understanding of network security concepts and systems including F5, WSA, Palo Alto, ASA
- Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills and ability to make independent decisions.
- Configures and implements network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless AP’s including controllers, and context switching as break/fix or enhancement requests.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues as they arise.
- Applies comprehensive knowledge and thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities. Investigates and resolves connectivity issues across LAN/WAN.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Monitors network traffic including infrastructure performance to ensure high quality connectivity.
- Investigates and resolves vendor incidents through maintenance contracts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field preferred
- Minimum 8 years’ experience preferred
- 3+ years preferred in supporting enterprise applications
- Must have strong oral (English)communication and writing skills, including formal presentations preferred
- Packet tracing knowledge/understanding experience preferred
- Ability to utilize monitoring tools to analyze network consumption at sites preferred.
- Cisco certifications preferred (CCDA, CCNP, etc.)
- Route/Switch experience preferred
- Hands on experience with Cisco, HP, and Aruba hardware preferred
- Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of network concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to troubleshoot a wide variety of symptoms that arise preferred
- Competent in Command Line Configurations preferred
- Wireless Networking experience(Aruba) preferred
- 802.11 Wireless Handheld Device experience preferred
- Strong IT Technical and process skills preferred
- Ability to work in team environment and as an individual preferred
- Knowledge with utilizing SharePoint preferred
- On Call rotation is required as this is a support role (8am-8pm eastern)
