We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Functional Engineer with a strong foundation in costing processes, including the development of Design and Lean specifications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and optimize costing-related processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, document, and improve end-to-end costing processes, covering materials, labor, overheads, and supply chain impacts.
- Collaborate with product and process design teams to define Design Specs and Lean Specs that support accurate and optimized cost modeling.
- Work with stakeholders from Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to align costing strategies with operational goals.
- Support system configurations and functional design related to costing in ERP or pricing platforms.
- Drive process standardization and recommend improvements using Lean principles.
- Develop functional documentation, process flows, and business requirements for costing initiatives.
- Assist in testing, validation, and implementation of costing solutions in business systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a functional or process engineering role with a focus on costing.
- For CMT Engineer, we need Power Apps experience
- Strong understanding of costing principles, including cost drivers, BOMs, routings, and variance analysis.
- Experience working with Design Specs and Lean Specs to support product and process development.
- Proficient in process mapping and functional documentation.
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) in a costing or manufacturing module.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools for process modeling and documentation (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
