Job Description

The Engineer III – Software is a senior-level technical role responsible for leading front-end development initiatives within the Digital Technology team. This position focuses 75% on front-end UI technologies and 25% on back-end services. The Engineer III will drive UI platform modernization, establish scalable architecture and standards, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, responsive design, and performance optimization, along with a solid understanding of microservices and API integration.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable front-end solutions across enterprise platforms. Serve as the lead UI developer, responsible for UI platform modernization and standardization. Mentor and guide Software Engineers I & II in technical design, coding practices, and problem-solving. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack, with a focus on UI performance and usability. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Document solutions through diagrams, flowcharts, and technical specifications. Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.

Technical Expertise Required:Proficient to Mastery Knowledge in:
  • JavaScript & Frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript
  • HTML5/CSS3: SCSS, Tailwind, Bootstrap, responsive design principles
  • Front-End Architecture: Scalable, modular design across platforms
  • Microservices & API Integration: RESTful services, GraphQL, back-end service implementation
  • Performance Optimization: Load time reduction, rendering efficiency, CSS/JS optimization
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on front-end development.
  • Proven leadership in technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Experience in full-stack development and enterprise application architecture.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
