About the Role
We are seeking a Power BI Engineer to design and deliver enterprise analytics dashboards and semantic models as part of a large-scale cloud data platform. This role is responsible for building multi-domain reporting solutions in Direct Lake mode, developing DAX-based semantic models, and extending the analytics layer incrementally as new data domains are activated across the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards for multiple stakeholder personas including operations, compliance, executive, and audit audiences
- Build and maintain enterprise semantic models using Power BI Direct Lake mode, connected to Azure Fabric Lakehouse Gold tables
- Develop DAX measures covering domain-specific KPIs such as pass rates, SLA breach trends, MTTR, exception aging, and risk scores
- Extend the semantic model incrementally as new data domains are activated, adding new KPIs without disrupting existing reports
- Implement time-intelligence DAX patterns for trend analysis, quarterly review cycles, and historical comparisons
- Design regulatory compliance overview dashboards aligned to standard audit requirements and evidence reporting layouts
- Validate semantic model consistency and report accuracy following each deployment phase
- Collaborate with Data Architects to align semantic model design with the enterprise data model and governance standards
- Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing test datasets and validating dashboard outputs against known control results
- Manage Power BI workspace configuration, dataset publishing, and access allocation across persona groups
