Engineer II for the (Newport News) group will utilize their basic knowledge of engineering as they perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment. This individual applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in accordance with established criteria (policies, standards, etc.) to perform assigned tasks.
DUTIES
- Perform basic design tasks
- Author routine technical reports
- Participate in engineering of routine OEM and Service contracts and proposals
- Perform Engineering Studies
- Present designs in design review meetings
- Interact with external customers, A/Es, vendors, and/or sublet engineers
- Partner with others within the same discipline
- Exercise limited judgement on details of work and in application of standards methods for conventional work
- Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Computer Engineering, B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Minor in Computer Science
- 1+ years’ of relevant experience required
- Obtains oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work both independently and in a group
