The DACA Equipment Engineer is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of Die Attach and Clip Attach equipment within the assembly manufacturing line. This role focuses on sustaining daily operations, troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment efficiency, yield, and productivity.
What You Will DoProvide hands-on support for Die Attach and Clip Attach (DACA) equipment setup, qualification, and troubleshooting.
Monitor and analyze equipment downtime (DT), OEE, and MTBA/MTBF performance to ensure high equipment availability.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and ensure all activities meet quality and compliance standards.
Drive equipment improvement projects to enhance process capability, machine stability, and cost efficiency.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and process transfer by coordinating equipment readiness and capability validation.
Work closely with process engineers to ensure equipment performance meets process and quality requirements.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers on machine upgrades, parts improvement, and technical issues.
Maintain and update equipment documentation, including maintenance records, specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
Train and guide technicians on DACA equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.
Ensure adherence to 5S and EHS standards in the equipment area.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor assembly, preferably in Die Attach or Clip Attach processes.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex equipment and automation systems.
Hands-on experience with DACA tools is an advantage.
Good teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment and support shift or on-call when required.
