The Engineer II - Test Engineer position is the intermediate level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer II position solve complex problems in engineering areas of specialization (Design, Electrical, Material, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering) with general supervision.
An Engineer II is expected to develop advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer II effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied.
Position Details
- This role is on site in our Magnolia, Texas office
- Full time, permanent position
- Collect information from clients, prepare project scopes and plans and deliver cost estimates
- Conduct studies and generate observations and data as required by project plan
- Develop draft reports and work with Technical Experts as needed to finalize for client delivery
- Deliver exceptional professional customer service with various industrial companies, internal and external stakeholders, etc.
- Other work duties as assigned.
- At least two (2) years of experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree with strong technical knowledge in applicable field (Design, Materials, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering)
- Familiarity with logic based programming
- Ability to learn new programming languages
- Comfortable with hands-on mechanical equipment
- Experienced in large volumes of data
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Willingness to learn at a rapid pace
- Manage multiple projects at once
- Coordinate with external vendors and fabricators, including site visits
- Proficient in 3D modelling software (SolidWorks preferred) and rendering detailed fabrication drawings from 3D models
- Preferred experience with pressurization equipment, data acquisition systems, analog based instrumentation, and automated control systems
