Job Description:
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing clustered HPC systems and develop strategies to enhance performance, scalability, and utilization.
- Serve as a primary technical contact for HPC end users, providing guidance on running simulations and promoting best practices across the user community.
- Design, write, and maintain software to drive, tune, and monitor EDA workloads within the HPC grid.
- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation related to HPC infrastructure and EDA workflows.
- Research emerging software and systems technologies to support recommendations and purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure secure, stable, and optimized HPC operations.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2.5 - 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or High-Performance Computing.
- Hands-on experience with HPC system software and cluster management tools, including job schedulers such as LSF, SGE, RTDA, or similar.
- Strong proficiency with Unix/Linux operating systems and file systems.
- Fundamental programming and scripting skills using Bash, Perl, Python, Tcl, and/or C/C++.
- Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and suites from Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence frameworks (e.g.,LLM, TensorFlow) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership for complex, large-scale computing projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and resolve HPC grid issues.
- Ability to define and implement processes that maintain system performance and promote best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
