The Role:
Entegris is looking for an Applications Engineer, who will locate in Taiwan Technology Center in Zhudong, Taiwan. The talented Applications Engineer will help with the following activities:
Customer Support for fab applications – Expert on customer applications, fab operations and on-wafer defects issues;
Root cause analysis and Troubleshooting – Analysis of fab defects issues & filter failure analysis
New Product Development – Lead/Participate in tasks associated with development of new products (Aggressive product)
Application method Development – Assist with scouting and development of new analytical methods for chemistry/filter/defects analysis
In this role you will:
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of defects / contamination issues in customer applications primarily associated with Wet Etch and Cleans.
Provide technical recommendations / technical presentations/ new product introductions to drive filter selection for applications in both leading and mainstream customers (IDMs, OEMs and Chemical suppliers).
Work with multi-disciplinary teams to provide key inputs, perform experiments and assist in development of new products keeping in mind current/future customer needs and roadmaps and being a voice of the customer.
With customer issues in mind, assist in development of / scouting of new application methods to understand the true nature of contamination and how it can be mitigated by filtration.
Publish work with internal facing applications notes, technical conferences & journals
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Strong lab/experimental skills with experience in dealing with multiple wet chemicals.
Strong fab (IDM, OEM) experience in any of the the following functional areas: Wet Etch and Cleans, Defect Reduction & Yield.
Chemical Engineering / Materials Science / Chemistry experience is preferred (<5 years’ experience; MS degrees preferred)
Strong knowledge of SPC, JMP, Excel (Excel based VBA/Macros)
Knowledge of filtration is a plus
Experience of Wet Etch and Cleans process is a plus
