The Engineer Test II, Software is a developing professional who participates in creating and extending Omnicell products. This individual is a quality focused test Engineer who can apply industry and corporate best practices to develop applications. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science and previous experience in Healthcare or a related industry. This team member works as part of a team to design and ensure quality delivery of new products as well as maintain Omnicell’s current portfolio.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to design, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
Collaborate with software and quality engineers in all phases of development and testing
Tests code and product behaviors by creating automated tests at varying layers (component integration, system, performance, UI) and performing manual and exploratory testing across the system
Effectively troubleshoots complex scenarios, isolates and analyzes defects providing detailed steps and conditions for defect reproduction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on documentation and training
Understand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs and how our suite of products are used across the continuum of care
Required Knowledge and Skills
Programming experience in one or more object-oriented languages
Experience creating automation tests and leveraging test frameworks interfacing with some of the following:
RESTful services
Message Queues
Relational Databases
Web Applications
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal communication skills
Knowledgeable in Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle management
Basic Qualifications
2-4 years of relevant software engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS degree
Healthcare Industry Experience
2+ year of Experience in C# and the .NET Framework
1+ years of experience with a microservices architecture
1+ years of experience in Angular 4 or above
1+ years of public cloud experience
1+ year experience healthcare or pharmaceutical experience working with interfaces such as HL7, FHIR. EDI and working with PHI.
1+ year of inventory / warehouse management
Understanding of Internationalization / Localization
Understanding of Inventory / warehouse management
Knowledge of distributed source code control like Git
Work Conditions
Office environment, hybrid (2-3 days in office/week)
Ability to travel 10% of the time for yearly team meetings and/or conferences
