Department Overview
The Global Application Support team delivers technical and accounting support services, enabling the required processes for the business. First line Operations Support is the Service Desk team, which provides initial triage and escalation for all production affecting issues and requests. The Core Support team troubleshoots and configures a broad suite of critical production applications while liaising with business, development and infrastructure teams. The Reconciliation Support team maintains the Reconciliation Console, manages the processing of position and activity files from brokers and establishes a secure FTP delivery method for daily reports. The Accounting Support team resolves data processing and calculation issues to ensure timely, accurate and consistent reporting as required for business needs. The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Support team maintains the process automation tools, develops/implements new automations and resolves requests/issues raised by the business for existing automations.
Job Description
The Engineer II will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing RPA solutions that streamline business operations. This role requires strong technical expertise in automation tools, programming languages, and AI technologies, along with the ability to analyze and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new automations and enhance existing ones based on stakeholder requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues logged by users in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in ideation, planning, testing, and rollout phases of automation projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions and processes.
- Test new automation features and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility.
- Design and integrate AI capabilities into automation workflows, including:
- Machine learning models for predictive analytics and decision-making.
- Natural language processing (NLP) for interpreting unstructured data and enabling conversational interfaces.
- Intelligent document processing (IDP) for extracting and classifying data from scanned documents, PDFs, and emails.
- Evaluate and implement AI tools and platforms that complement RPA solutions.
- Monitor AI-enhanced automations for performance, accuracy, and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with RPA tools such as Blue Prism and/or Power Apps.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or .NET (C#).
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and collaboration platforms.
- Knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, Notepad++, PMP, Proofpoint, WinSCP.
- Understanding of Azure and AWS services such as Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions.
- Understanding of REST APIs and database interactions.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Azure ML.
- Knowledge of NLP tools (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Azure Cognitive Services).
- Experience with OCR and IDP platforms (e.g., ABBYY, UiPath Document Understanding, Amazon Textract).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
