Role Summary

The Senior Packaging Engineer leads the development of packaging programs, drives technical decisions, mentors junior engineers, and ensures robust, compliant, and cost‑effective packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead packaging design and validation for new products and programs.
  • Define packaging strategies aligned with business initiatives. 
  • Perform advanced testing, analysis, and root‑cause investigations.
  • Develop and approve packaging standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Lead supplier engagement for packaging materials and tooling.
  • Drive cost‑reduction, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and technically guide Packaging Engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related field. In lieu of a degree, previous work experience may be considered.
  • 6–10 years of relevant packaging engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of global packaging material and design standards 
  • Strong understanding of packaging and transportation test procedures.
  • Proficiency in CAD, PLM, and engineering documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading packaging projects end‑to‑end.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
