Location: Bogota (Hybrid Scheme: 2 days in the office)

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Design, development and execution of Test Cases, Test Scenarios & Test Plans. 

  • Reviewing software specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback for test planning and procedures. 

  • Analyze the functional and non-functional requirements and designs Test Scenarios and Test cases with coordination with Business Analyst team. 

  • Writing and executing GUI, Functional, Regression, Security, and Performance related test cases. 

  • Analyze the testing result in order to report the defects/ discrepancies found. 

  • Performs in depth research to define the cause of the problem. Work closely with developers and/or product support representatives to reproduce, isolate, and resolve product anomalies or design issues. 

  • Coordinating testing activities with Development Team. 

  • Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) 

  • Monitor and report on project status; identify issues that may impede attainment of goals; and recommend and implement corrective measures. 

  • Make recommendations to enhance existing test suites and test cases for future regression. Analyze manual tests cases and functional specifications in order to evaluate the potential automation. 

Roles, responsibilities and duties may evolve and change over time 

 

Knowledge, Experience & Skills: 

  • Experience validating Web-Application & Web-Services. 

  • Scripting and Automation tools experience in tools like SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, Jmeter. 

  • Experience in API testing (must) using SOAP UI / Postman or other automation tool. 

  • Experience in CI/CD Pipeline automation. 

  • Experience in JIRA, Jenkins and Gitlab. 

  • Knowledge in test designing tools. 

  • Good knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Experience working in Scrum team. 

  • Problem-solving and good analytical skills. 

  • Self-motivated, working independently as well in team with minimal supervision. 

  • Curiosity to get in depth and attention to details. 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, or information technology. 

  • Experience in testing related to airline reservations systems or Global Distribution Systems (GDS) or other travel industry experience a plus 

  • English: interviews will be held in this language.
