Join HashiCorp's Developer Workflows team as a Developer Workflows Engineer II and help shape the tooling & systems that empower internal developers across the company. Our team is at the forefront of developer experience, building and refining tools, systems, and platforms that enhance productivity and streamline workflows. Some of the challenges you’ll work on include:
- Collaborate with our team to develop, refine, and maintain critical tools and systems that support internal developer workflows, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day engineering operations
- Drive improvements in our development environments by contributing to new features, providing code reviews, and proposing solutions to enhance system efficiency and resilience
- Draft and review Request For Comment (RFC) and Architecture Decision Record (ADR) documents, ensuring clear documentation is an integral part of our engineering process
- Participate in a weekday on-call rotation to assist internal teams with any challenges they encounter using our tools and systems
- Contribute to our growing body of knowledge by contributing to documentation efforts, sharing best practices, and building reusable tooling for sustainable software delivery
We’re looking for someone who (Basic Qualifications):
- Embodies our principles and puts them into action in all aspects of their work
- Embodies a growth mindset and eagerly tackles new challenges to create better developer experiences
- Writes clear and effective documentation as a key part of their engineering contributions
- Communicates effectively across teams to capture technical requirements and provide clear, actionable feedback
- Has experience, empathy, and interest in developer tooling, including building scripts, tools, or services that are used by internal teams
- Has experience using both compiled languages (Go, Rust, C++) and scripting languages (Bash)
- Has an understanding of infrastructure management concepts and public Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and tooling

- Previous experience working on a platform engineering team
- Previous experience working on a developer productivity team
- Previous experience with HashiCorp products is a huge plus!

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$151,300—$178,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$138,600—$163,100 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$126,100—$148,300 USD
