The Opportunity:

Take on a key role in supporting healthcare clients by managing and validating critical data pipelines and systems. As an Engineer II, Data, you will work closely with clients to ensure data accuracy and integrity, leveraging your familiarity with Microsoft Azure technologies and SQL. This role balances technical tasks with client communication, enabling health systems to operate more efficiently and improve patient outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborate directly with clients to onboard new projects and understand their business needs
  • Validate and ingest data accurately to ensure quality before processing
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related tools to manage and process data pipelines
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation tasks
  • Support the team by performing technical tasks while maintaining strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Continuously learn and grow technical skills with a focus on Microsoft Azure technologies and data engineering fundamentals
  • Assist in troubleshooting data issues and provide timely resolutions to maintain project continuity
  • Participate in team discussions and contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing

Desired Work Experience

  • 3 to 5 Years of relevant experience in data engineering or related technical roles, with a focus on client interaction and data validation.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies and SQL is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to healthcare data or EMR systems such as Epic or Meditech is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and collaborate within a team environment.

Desired Education Level

Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science Preferred)

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2+ years of coding experience with Microsoft SQL
  • 1+ years working with big data technologies including but not limited to Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Dataflows, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus) with a willingness and ability to learn new ones
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals: testing automation, code reviews, telemetry, iterative delivery and DevOps
  • Some experience with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Very strong attention to detail

This position pays between $84,000-$126,000 based on experience
