Job Summary:
The Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) – for CMP Slurry, based in Suwon, Korea, is responsible for supporting customer quality activities and ensuring stable product performance through effective customer engagement and data-driven problem solving. This role requires strong product understanding of CMP slurry, solid knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, and hands-on experience supporting major semiconductor customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a customer-facing quality engineer for CMP Slurry products, primarily supporting customers in Korea
Support and resolve customer quality issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Provide technical support related to CMP slurry performance in semiconductor fabrication processes
Perform statistical data analysis using Six Sigma methodologies and tools such as Minitab and JMP to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
Actively collaborate with Fab Technology Engineer (FTE), sales team, BU, R&D, Manufacturing, and global plant teams to ensure smooth transition from development to HVM.
Support customer qualification, validation, and change management activities
Prepare and present data-driven analysis and technical findings for customer meetings, quality reviews, and internal discussions
Ensure alignment with customer requirements, internal quality standards, and project timelines
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field
3–6 years of experience in customer quality engineering, process engineering, or semiconductor materials–related roles
Strong understanding of CMP slurry products and their application in semiconductor processes
Solid knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, especially CMP-related steps
Experience working with domestic and/or global semiconductor material environments
Proven ability to conduct statistical data analysis using Six Sigma tools, Minitab, JMP, or equivalent software
Ability to make logical, data-driven decisions based on quantitative analysis
Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting CMP Slurry products in fab environments
Hands-on experience with DOE, SPC, or trend analysis
Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above)
Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing sites or global teams
Familiarity with customer audits and quality system requirements
