Role Context
As a Software Engineer (SDE I) – Full Stack (Node.js + React/Next.js), you will begin your career by building real production software as part of the FLX ONE Cargo (F1C) engineering team.
This role focuses on developing strong fundamentals across both backend and frontend development, working with Node.js services and React/Next.js applications.
You will work closely with Senior Engineers and Tech Leads, contributing to end-to-end features while learning best practices in modern full stack and cloud-native development.
Hands-On Development
● Implement backend APIs and services using Node.js.
● Build UI components using React/Next.js and integrate them with backend services.
● Contribute production-ready full stack code under guidance, following established patterns and standards.
Feature Contribution
● Deliver well-scoped features or components from implementation through testing.
● Fix bugs and improve existing functionality with attention to quality and correctness.
● Apply modular design principles to keep code clean and maintainable.
Quality & Engineering Discipline
● Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to improve code quality.
● Learn and follow engineering best practices around version control, testing, and deployment.
● Develop an understanding of how your code behaves in production environments.
Learning & Growth
● Learn system design, cloud fundamentals, and operational practices through hands-on work.
● Pair with senior engineers to accelerate learning and problem-solving skills.
● Actively seek feedback and continuously improve technical skills.
What You Must Bring
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
● Internship, academic, or project experience in software development.
● Basic proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with willingness to work across Node.js and React/Next.js.
● Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming and data structures.
● Strong curiosity, learning mindset, and willingness to take ownership.
Nice to Have
● Exposure to backend frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js) or frontend frameworks (e.g. React).
● Basic understanding of cloud concepts or experience with AWS.
● Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
● Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to learn faster or improve productivity.
