Engineer I - Quality Assurance (Katalon Developer)

Role purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer I to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or freshers who are passionate about quality assurance and have foundational knowledge in Katalon automation scripting. The QA Engineer I will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and automation efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with the QA team to develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for various software applications and work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve software issues.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and document software defects.
• Utilize Katalon Studio for automation scripting to create and run automated test scripts.
• Report and track defects using designated bug tracking tools, ensuring thorough documentation of issues.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Proficiency in Katalon Studio for test automation
• Knowledge of other QA tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Good understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Knowledge of API testing
• Knowledge of AWS fundamentals
• Understanding of version control systems (eg., Git)
