Job Description for Engineer – Product Design
Job Description:
To Design and Develop Outdoor Enclosures in sheet metal domain for Telecommunication Products. He / She will be working on New product Development projects, VA/VE Projects & Quality Improvement projects as required. He / She will take responsibility of project execution from end to end and deliver as per customer need along with assistance from Engineer, Sr. Engineer or Lead Engineer as required. He / She needs to Estimate, Plan and execute projects along with other team members to meet deadlines as per agreement. He / She will be in coordination with Sr. Engineer/ Asst. or Deputy Manager/Manager for projects on Design and Development. Person should independently handle Analytical calculations and actively participate in Design Reviews. Being part of Global Engineering Function, he / she is expected to maintain desired performance (quality & schedule adherence) levels set by organization and report as per defined communication plan.
Job Specification:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in New Product Design Is must
- Excellent command on Creo into sheet metal domain is must.
- Experience on Part & Assembly Modelling, Drafting and Engineering Change Orders is required.
- Experience in handling large Creo CAD assemblies and manage modifications is desirable.
- Hands on experience on any PDM/PLM tools like Oracle PLM, Team Center, Windchill is required
- Knowledge of material selection & Sheet metal manufacturing processes is required.
- Experience on design of Telecom/Electrical/Electronic Enclosure Product is preferable.
- Experience on DFMEA & DFMA of Product assembly processes is desirable.
- Experience in Value Engineering and Value Analysis projects is added advantage.
- Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and timely manner.
- Handle projects or Project tasks independently as needed.
- Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
- A willingness to learn is critical.
