Job Description
Provides accurate and customised engineering work and ensures that agreed quality, productivity, customer-satisfaction, employee-satisfaction, safety and personal targets are met by
1) designing and developing engineering products or systems from concept to production in consultation with clients,
2) providing engineering advice in one or a small number of specialised technical disciplines,
3) developing and writing equipment specifications, and
4) planning, attending and documenting design review meetings with clients, subcontractors and equipment manufacturers. Typically follows prescribed guidelines and procedures but may deviate. Provides on-the-job training to more junior colleagues. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Job Requirements
Requires a college or university degree.
Continues to build knowledge of the organisation, processes and customers. Examples of disciplines that may be attached to this Job Profile include but is not limited to Mechanical Engineering, Nautical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
