BASIC FUNCTION
Provide Engineering Design support to business units in Wiring Harness and Switchgear systems, managing projects individually as well as in a team environment while ensuring adherence to timeline and quality requirements.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Analysis & Planning
- Analyse project requests, define scope, timelines, and technical requirements.
- Technical Expertise & Design Execution
- Design and develop genset wiring harness (engine harness, control panel harness, battery & power cables) using Creo Cabling.
- Develop and review electrical schematics and Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for control panels and power systems.
- Perform LV switchgear design including component selection (ACB, MCCB, relays), protection schemes, and panel layouts (PCC/MCC).
- Ensure proper integration of wiring harness, control panels, and switchgear systems.
- Work with CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD, SEE Electrical) and PLM/ERP systems (Windchill, SAP).
- Maintain knowledge of alternators, breakers, control panels, and genset systems.
- Ensure design for manufacturability and serviceability.
- Project Prioritization & Problem Solving
- Prioritize multiple projects in coordination with stakeholders.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills for efficient project execution.
- Project Execution & Delivery
- Execute projects ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
