Job Description

Micron Technology is a global leader in memory and storage solutions. As a Product Quality and Reliability Assurance (PQRA) DRAM Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting qualification, monitoring, and continuous improvement of DRAM product quality and reliability. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and development teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate quality and reliability risks, ensuring products meet specifications, DPM/FIT metrics, and performance expectations. This role requires continuous learning of new DRAM technologies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Define qualification requirements, including specifications, quality metrics, and release criteria.
• Analyze failures, failure rates, and degradation mechanisms during qualification cycles.
• Execute risk assessments at each stage of the qualification process and validate compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to identify potential risks in new DRAM technologies and processes.
• Support manufacturing teams in resolving quality and reliability deviations using structured problem-solving tools (Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Whys).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in Test, Product Engineering, or Quality (preferred but not required).
• At least academic understanding of CMOS transistors and MOSFET fundamentals (operation regions, electrical behavior, switching).
• Knowledge of Digital Logic design, including combinational and sequential logic (inverters, gates, MUX, adders, flip-flops, FSMs).
• Basic knowledge of Perl, C++, Python, HTML, Java or others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with quality methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D Problem Solving, and 5 Whys.
• Basic knowledge of failure analysis and containment techniques.
• General understanding of PCB/PCBA processes, schematic reading, SMT/AOI/ICT concepts.
• Exposure to DRAM processes, VLSI design, semiconductor physics, or semiconductor manufacturing.
