Your Responsibilities
As an Engineer, Crawler Electrical for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa you will:
- Lead the design and development of electrical components and harnesses for specific Crawler models.
- Lead and participate in the Product Delivery process, ensuring all activities and plans are formulated and followed to launch new vehicle programs into production.
- Participate in competitor benchmarking, vehicle specification development, as well as creation and maintenance of product design guidelines for Crawlers.
- Provide problem solving support of electrical issues on prototype machines and current production units.

What Skills You Need
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Components (through relevant course work, practical work experience or internships)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to attack emerging issues, determine root cause, and drive corrective action
- Experience with 3D modeling tools
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within cross-functional and culturally diverse teams
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs
What Makes You Stand Out
- Expertise and demonstrated experience with electrical systems and components
- Knowledge of electrical systems for mobile equipment applications
- Knowledge with Modeling tools for harness routing and drawing creation (i.e. Creo/ProCable, MentorGraphics - Capital Harness)
- Experience working with electrical suppliers
- Basic understanding of electrical harness manufacturing process
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related work experience
